Oak Park Improv is a group of improvisational theater performers and enthusiasts based out of Oak Park, Illinois (on the west side of Chicago). Our mission is to spread the joy and the philosophy of improv, and to create local opportunities for everyone to watch, practice, and perform.
Here's What's Going on Right Now:
Drop your inhibitions, get in touch with your creativity, and unleash your sense of play! Learning improvisational comedy is a great way to build confidence and make friends, and 1 out of 1 folks interviewed on Lake Street said "it seems pretty fun." This 8 week class will introduce (or review) the fundamentals of Improv and give you the basic tools to build fun improvised scenes with your classmates. No experience required. Ages 18+
Where: Maze Branch Library Basement (845 Gunderson Ave., Oak Park, IL 60304)
When: 7:00pm ~ 8:30pm Wednesday September 3rd
What: Join us for a night of laughter and long-form improv with some of the funniest improvisers in Oak Park! Doors open at 6:45pm, and sign-ups are available both day-of and online. Admission is always FREE!
Who: You! Come perform with your team, or come solo and be put on a mash-up team. Or just come to watch :)
